Personally speaking I think this would be an incredibly appealing addition to crafted weapons. I don't want to be too critical of the artwork, but truth be told many of the LI skins currently in the game are much less than desirable. My hunter's lvl 65 bow, for example, looks a lot like a branch someone tore off a tree and tied some string to. Another example: a kinmate of mine feels that his captain's lvl 65 two-handed sword looks for all the world like a jousting lance.
One of the coolest looking swords in the game is that curved blade you can acquire as a quest reward in Gwingris. It would be fantastic if you could choose that skin for your crafted LI. I think it would greatly break up the monotony of the appearances of current LI's.
