Just hit level 38. I play my RK with two friends both playing Champions.
Initially, I would start a battle by dropping my rock, then helping on offense, and try to flip over to healing if things got too tricky. That worked okay, but it certainly wasn't optimal for harder battles or skirmishes.
So lately I've been going with healing first. I get a good level of attunement and some healing HOTs running, and then I'll plink away with Scribe's Spark to add a little offense. With this approach, we've been able to handle some pretty tough fights.
Here are a few questions I'd love to get your insight on:
- What traits would you recommend? (I'm close to level 39 where I get one more. I rely on the lightning one that increases the stun by 5 seconds. I have trained both Linod of Subtley and Linod of Peace, and they both seem valuable.)
- How does stacking work on Mending Verse and Writ of Health?
- What does the trait that says something like Writ of Health just gets a -2 instead of tiering down really do?
- Any suggestions on how to contribute more to offense with an approach like this? I could try to have two lightning or two fire traits to get one more offensive spell I can cast while healing-attuned, but it would come at some cost (thus my trait question). I could try melee attacking with my hands/rune stone - I don't even remember if I need to click to attack... lol
Thanks much for the help!
