Once Kindred with a crafting guild, a player should be provided or have the option to purchase a map to that guild's hall, allowing heavy crafters to use their map for keeping up with quest hubs without having to deal with travelling from their racial point or some other map-like travel point to that crafting area.
Guild category items that are currently identical to single-use recipe crits should prompt the crafter for an inscription. If only critical success on single-use recipes OR guild recipes can inscribe, it should be a reward for the time and effort dedicated to the guild, not a reward for throwing tons of coin at the problem and trying to crit on a single-use recipe. (I have no objection to single-use crits keeping inscriptions, but if it were a choice between the two, it seems obvious to me which group should get the cool extra.)
Guild recipes should always, always be, in some form or fashion, superior to other similar items that can be built through other means. Single-use critical success should not be on par with them. Nothing craftable in the same level range in the same category (heavy shield, light armour, et al) should be as good, even if the difference is just a point or two here and there. Getting to kindred with a crafting guild, along with raising the base crafting skill to begin with, is an investment of MONTHS worth of time, there should be something more than mere reliability to show for it. The crafting guilds are exclusive of each other; kindred status with a crafting guild should carry some more exclusives of its own.
