After looking for help the past 2 days in both these forums and through other forums with a google search, I figure it's time to finally ask for a little help. I am getting stuck on the searching for logon server screen after I select any server. I've tried the following over the past 2 days:
Using Cmd prompt to flush dns
Removing then adding lotroclient, Turbine Invoker & Turbine Launcher from windows firewall
Installing the free version of Zone Alarm firewall and using that instead of windows fire to no avail
Making sure BitDefender recognizes lotro in game mode
Restarting modem (not connected to a router)
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
I playing the game on win7 64bit OS. The game was working fine Thursday, but started having problems Friday (cue spooky music) the 13th. Windows did have a few critical updates for me before I began having these problems, mostly security updates I think. Unfortunately I cannot restore my computer back to before I was having this problem as the cache for system restore was set too small and don't have any restore points prior to the 14th now.
