... instead of just getting rid of the capture able points.
What are the biggest problems with the Moors?
- Only properly geared/traited/leveled freeps have a chance
- Overwhelming amounts of auto-leveled creeps
- Same old same old
How do you solve all of these problems in one fell swoop? You make Annuminas a level 40-52 PvMP zone.
Of course, some major changes would have to be implemented and obstacles overcome for this to work, but they would go a long way in leveling the playing field:
- Creeps would start at level 40, working their way up by questing/killing freeps
- Annuminas as a whole would need to be max. level gated, or make creeps invalid targets by the higher levels (the latter seems less complicated)
- Retro-modifying existing creeps to appropriate levels according to their rank, rating, kills, etc. would be difficult
- Finding space for all the lowbie creeps in a pretty cramped space would be challenging
Problems aside, the Angmarim already present in Annuminas would be neutral enemies a la the Forces of the Delving of Fror. In that same vein, Creeps would also get access to the old Annuminas raids as a means of leveling and getting money/dp instead of gear barter items/rep.
So all in all, if this was undertaken, you would effectively solve the three biggest PvMP problems:
- Low level freeps have a place to PvP competitively
- Creeps have to put in the work to compete with level-capped freeps (I'm looking at you, firefoot wargs)
- An old favorite area gets a boost of new activity in a whole new light, PvMP gets a drastically different landscape to battle it out in
It doesn't have all the wrinkles ironed out, of course. It's just a suggestion.
