Hello Elendilmir!
My name is Handiir (in-game as Handiir and Gladria) and I am one of the leaders of Animus, a raiding kinship founded in the weeks leading up to the launch of Mines of Moria. Since the beginning, we have ranked among the top raiding kins with expedient completions of Vile Maw, Vile Maw 2.0, Vile Maw 3.0, Filikul, Dar Narbugud and now Barad Guldur. We are now recruiting to strengthen our ranks as we continue to raid Barad Guldur. We currently have about 16 active raiders, and are looking to add what is needed so that we can continue to raid Barad Guldur and get ready for new content. We are a small, tight-knit kinship. Everyone plays a part!
What is Animus?
Animus is a raiding kinship with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This means that first and foremost we are here to have fun. This is not a kinship that will scream at you if you make a mistake in a raid or grouped situation. We do not want those errors to occur, but we will work with all our members as they improve against the challenges the end game encounters provide. In short, we complete content, we will continue to do so, but at the same time will be patient if you're a slow learner.
What sort of activity will I have to maintain?
We raid on three nights (primarily): Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These are considered our primary raid days. This means that any recruit is expected to make one of these nights on a consistent basis. If something comes up, that's fine, you are not bound to one day or the other. But we do not want to run into a situation where you miss three straight weeks with no excuse or without letting us know. This is not acceptable to us. We don't carry many bodies and thus rely on everyone that we have.
Edit: We have been raiding Lt of Dul Guldur on Sunday nights. With the occasional Tuesday raid. We try to change things up if needed to best suit our members. We follow a calendar so you will know a head of time when raids are.
Other Details
Outside of the one raid per week requirement mentioned above, Animus does not have any other requirements, however you must be raid ready. This means that you must have appropriate traits/ gear etc. We enjoy a relaxed kin chat atmosphere. Sometimes things can be borderline, but that comes from our position: we want you to be yourself. We only ask that you respect one another, the game, and most of all the tag. This means that we expect everyone to follow the rules the game adheres to (no exploiting and the like).
This is a very basic look at Animus. We do not want to be very detailed here.
