I was thinking about what sort of improvements could be made to the Moors to increase the enjoyment. I thought to myself, what do people come out to the moors for? IMO 1) the challenge of fighting against a real opponent in fun battles and 2) to gain reknown/infamy. In essence we want to have fights not staring matches and we want to have battles that give a realistic opportunity to gain reknown and infamy. To this end we want to minimize how often players figure its better to log than play because there is little chance to gain what we want. What sort of incentive is there for a creep or freep to fight when unbalanced or outnumbered, and a thought came to me. How about each side has quests available to take keeps called lay siege to <moors keep name>, that give reknown/infamy instead of destiney . A very large amount of reknown/infamy. I know a lot of you are thinking all that will happen is that one side or the other will wait till the other logs then flip the map, free reknown/infamy. Well here’s the twist. First when activated by any Freep of Creep all players leaving or entering the Moors on either side will gain a different quest either Seize <moors keep name> or Defend <moors keep name>. Second the lay siege quest will be on a timer. The keep must be seized before the timer expires, if it is then all players who have the seize quest/lay siege quest in or near the vicinity of the keep get the reknown/infamy, if not any with the defend quest in or near the vicinity of the keep will gain the reknown/infamy. Now the amount of time to capture the keep would be based upon the number of creeps vs freeps in the moors at the time that the quest was activated. Also to prevent the attacking side from pve’ing through to the point right before you flip the keep and then have someone else activate the quest, 2 things also will happen at activation. 1) any players on the attacking side that are inside the keep at the time of activation, will not receive the seize quest and all npc’s in an around the keep will respawn at activation. Also a cd would have to be reinstituted to keep creeps from switching to freeps when things got bad in the hopes to get free reknown.
