Before i buy

I have a few quetions. I've been doing some research on my own but I still have a few unanswered questions. I've subdivided them into categories.

All in all, i will say that i was hooked after the basic introductory quest. I can tell that like DDO turbine has really put some time and sweat behind this game. I am definitely buying a subscription.

Concerning subscriptions

1. I read a little something about this in another thread but I wanted to make sure i understood. If I pay for a 3 month subscription now at 9.99 then i lock in that price and as long as i don't drop the sub I get to keep that price? (for the 3 month plan)

2. Out of curiosity if i decide later on that I want say a 12 month sub and upgrade to that will I get the 9.99 a month price or whatever it is at that time?

3. When does this 9.99 deal celebration end? I couldn't find that anywhere.


Crafting

I have an understanding of the profession and vocation system but there are a few things that I can't find a definate answer on.

1. Some sites refer to leveling when talking about the vocation. I thought only the professions had levels. What's up with that?

2. Is there any advantage to one vocation over another short of profession choices. I can't see any real advantage except for leveling and gathering.

3. How powerful is player crafted equipment versus what else is out there?

trait sets

1. I've seen this mentioned in several places but i don't quite get it. Are they just player created builds or are they special in game?

1. Okay, can you make campfires anywhere?
