It's that time to get a new computer. I have no experience in building a computer, but I have been reading up a bit on it and I think I would like to try it. However, I am not opposed to the idea of buying some already assembled, or having a local place assemble it for me if it would be worth it. A few of the questions I have are:
1) I am more interested in performance than graphics when playing LOTRO, so what kind of specs and parts should I worry about more than others? I would be happy playing on medium or high with no lag issues what so ever.
2) Are there any brands that you would suggest I avoid buying?
3) Are there any pre-built rigs out there that you would recommend?
4) If I have someone local assemble it for me, is there anything I should be cautious about?
Those are pretty much the big questions I have right now. My budget is around $500. Monitor is not an issue because I already own one that I will use. That is just a ballpark figure and I wouldn't mind spending a little more if it means an upgrade.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to reply and helping me out.
