Moria Buddy Key okay for adding LotRO F2P subscription?

Since there was no obvious way to add a LotRO F2P subscription to my existing Turbine account (which I use for playing DDO), I tried entering a Moria Buddy Key from a friend today, and voila! It worked. When I log in to my account, it shows me having a Mines of Moria trial subscription with Premium status. I also received an email welcoming me to my 14-day trial. Indeed, I can play the game fine.

My concern is, what happens after the 14 days? My guess is that my subscription will simply revert to free status and I'll be able to continue uninterrupted, as a free player. Is that correct?
